Dana Bilhimer is a visual artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Her practice includes both traditional and experimental forms of printmaking. She often works large, combining repetitive matrix layers with monotype layers. She received her BFA in Printmaking from California State University Long Beach.
In Sound the Alarm (2018), her work focused on climate change and our collective indifference to heed the warning.
Greetings from Los Angeles (2019), was an experimental series of postcards meant to be mailed out to local officials addressing the cost of living, the increase in the number of unhoused residents, and the lack of municipal responsibility in and around Los Angeles.
She is currently working on mini-documentaries about the fashion industry.
